Rudeness on Purpose?

Today I went with my family down to Chicago to see a German Christmas festival and to see the Nutcracker ballet. We normally go every year and now it seems to be a tradition. However we always know that at each of the ballet's performance there will be rude people there.

Laughter and full conversations during the performance occurs all the time. People pay good money to go to a show like this so it's not like it's cheap. Is it hard for some people to become aware that they are being overall rude?

It could just be the culture of Chicago but it may happen to every place on Earth. Some people do it on purpose to piss people off for attention. But most of the time I believe that they do it because they do not think it is causing harm to others.

What do you guys think? Are most people rude overall or are they just pure evil?

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

No one is Perfect... Why bother?

Thinking about it the other day, humans really are not perfect by any means. They pollute the world and yet have a strong intelligent influence over all of life. We try and try again and learn from our failures. We will never be perfect because that is human nature. Why bother?
I believe that people who strive for perfection are people of great value because they are literally trying their very best. Yes they will fail along the way, but isn't that what everyone experiences? To some they decide after failing so many times, they just quit.
That then leads to the idea that maybe we shouldn't try. Maybe we should just give up on a wasted effort. We already figured out that it's impossible to be perfect, but seriously why even attempt. This idea is different in each person but values is something you can't change.
Maybe we are destined to fail at everything in life. Maybe this is all just fun games for a higher authority. What ever the case may be, to some being perfect is everything. Letting go of that feeling and maybe saying I'll let this one go here and now again makes us less stressed and focusing on goals that are possible.
What do you guys think? Are we perfect beings? Or set to fail at everything. Should we bother trying to put effort in anything?

Entertainment a necessary?

Procrastination at it's finest. Sunday night trying to finish a blog right before 11:59 my night consumed by entertainment has slowed me down. The question do we news entertainment to keep us alive? If anything it is counterproductive to any sorts of work you can do.

The great thing about not enjoying entertainment is you can work longer so you make more money than your friends. You can also spend your time wisely on college classes. Overall a great choice why would you say no?

However the bad part about having no entertainment like television or music is that life would get boring. It's an obvious but like isn't all about work, there is certainly a time and place for that. It can also make you unhappy which can make you die sooner. Major unhappy face.

So what do you think? Is there a time and place for work and play? Or is entertainment everything.

Thanks!

Do blind dates really work?

My friend is going on a blind date recommended by a friend. However I do not consider it a blind date anymore because he did a Facebook search on her. I don't think that was the point of the fun of meeting someone you have no clue.
Regardless he is still going and he is excited about it. I think blind dates were a lot more popular back before Facebook because it could happen easily. Facebook not only tears apart marriages but it also stops you from a common blind date.
How many blind dates have you all been on? I'm dying alone so I don't plan on being on one but they are enjoyable to hear what happened. Do you think they make lasting relationships?

Censorship in America

Watching a re-run of Jersey Shore on tv, people on there say a lot of explicit things. Makes me reconsider my life and language now and when I was younger. Worse or better than Jersey Shore?
Should we or shouldn't we have censorship in America when it comes to language on TV? I believe after a certain time. (Basically after family hour) language should be without limits like HBO and other premium channels.
So should we have censorship on TV? What rules should we have.

Video Games and Real Life

Playing the new Call of Duty game has made me take a deeper thought into the realism of war themed video games in general. I guess you would have to ask someone who has been a battle like that. To my understanding not a lot of them are playing capture the flag for shits and giggles. To some specialists who study groups of people, they believe that video game violence can lead to violence in real life. I disagree, if anything it is a great vent from the norm life. I guess shooting people online might make you a less stressed person overall. What do you think? Does playing video games that are war themed help you feel better about your self?

Why scary movies aren't that scary.

Watching a scary movie tonight, I am not too concerned about being worried to drive home after. Soemtimes I feel the hype is the most scary part of the movie. Such as a commercial. However it is still fun to watch.

I saw Paranormal Activity 3 the other week and I thought the tensed parts in the movie was really scary but nothing in it was truly scary I think it is easier to make people laugh than be scared.

What do you guys think? Does scary movies make you scared?

Why does our generation less religious?

I was thinking about it the other day, and I was considering that my generation Y is less relgious than the prvious people.
When going to a christian church, you do not see a lot of young people besides children with their parents. You see a lot of elderly people. That is because it is how they were raised, now we are very simple with things.
We feel like we do not have enough time for religion.
What do you think? Are we less religious than our older generations?

Thanks.

Is Electric Mainstream?

I was reading today that electric cars are now mainstream America. After reading the comments at the end of the article it was interesting to read opposing views. "It's not mainstream we aren't even there yet." Was one of them all the way to "I see them everywhere I go!" It's interesting to read the different subcultures of modern America. Everything from tree hugger to oil happy residents.
The question, is electirc cars mainstream as a MSNBC article stated? It really depends on where you live and how much it influences you. If you live in California you probably will see a few charging stations comapred to Kansas where people will not know what that is.
Gasoline cars are in its prime and in some cases more efficient than electric. We are on a good road for green energy but we surely are not mainstream. Even some vehicles and things will require oil. Such as plastics and so on.
What do you think? Is electric cars main stream?

Thanks!

Why do the good guys always have to win?

Why do the good guys have to win?

After watching killers elite, I was really hoping for the bad guy to win in the end. It is based on a true story so I really wonder if the good guys did win in the end. That is even if they were considerd the good guys.

Like in an earlier post I put down in July. I thought voldemort should have won in the end. But hey sometimes its great for the good guy to win.

You guys think the good guys should win or not?

Thanks!

Do humans need to live off of pleasure vs. pain?

So as the question states, should humans experience pain to enjoy pleasure? To put it this way, imagine yourself as a extremely poor person. Someone with not a lot of education, lives paycheck by paycheck living in their dirty home. They have enough money for a movie, (which they can maybe see once a year), and the person says, "The movie was so entertaining I couldn't believe it!" That person is very happy now and maybe will be for quite a while, while he/she tells him/her friends about the crazy movie.

Now take a moderate to rich person who can see a movie maybe two to three times a month. (About 24-36 movies a year). They usually when they walk out, like most people, either bitch about how the movie was too political or it wasn't funny enough, and later go home and continue on with their lives on their $600 dollar HTC Smart Phones which they signed a contract for just to afford it.

Where am I getting at? Well, in theory if someone who experiences more pain and has very little pleasure, they end up enjoying that pleasure to a heightened extent whereas someone who experiences a lot of pleasure without a lot of painful experiences will find life extremely boring and meaningless.

Another great example is us as a nation. We unbelievably complain about the amount of food there is in America. The state of California feeds 1/3 of the world with corn and soy products, that is how much food we really have. There is a lot of pathos appeal when it comes to the starving child in Africa on the commercials, and yet we still can complain how we are hungry. We go into our pantries full of food to really last us a few months if needed and most people in the world have to literally fight over a bag of rice.

Why should we care? We really don't have to, but it's good to know why we think life is "meh" and boring. Because we experience so much pleasure that we don't even know what pain is.

What do you guys think?

Thanks!
